when is the best time to photograph my newborn baby?
The best time for your Newborn Photoshoot is when your Newborn Baby is 6 to 14
days new. After this time, newborn babies are harder to settle and things like colic
and baby acne can start to flare up.
where will the session be?
All sessions are held in my studio located in Kerhonkson, NY
can I receive my images unedited/raw?
No. The editing that I do is part of my artistic style & therefore I am unable to
supply unedited files, as is the case with all respected professional photographers.
when and how do we pay the remaining balance?
Remaining balance is required to be paid 24 hours prior to your session or on
session date.
what's your turnaround time?
After your session you will receive an online gallery to select your images within 3-
4 business days. After your selection your images will be ready in 2 to 3 weeks.
how many images will I receive?
The amount of images you receive will depend on the photography collection you
select. Additional digital images and products can be purchased ‘ a l a carte’.
do you do 'in home' sessions?
Yes, as an option. Please contact me for the details.
How long does a session last?
It varies based on the session. Newborn sessions usually last 1-3 hours (We allow
plenty of time for feedings and diaper changes!). Maternity sessions are 1 hour.
Cake smash sessions are 45 min-1 hour. In studio Milestone sessions are 1 hour
long. Holiday minis 15-20 min.
What if my child gets sick shortly before our session is scheduled?
I suggest to rescheduel, we want a happy healthy child for your session. As a
newborn photographer, I can not have any sick children in the studio. If your child
falls ill, then please let me know as soon as possible, so that we can reschedule
your session with adequate time left.
How far in advance should we book?
As soon as you’ve decided that you want to have a session done, reach out! I
book clients as far out as 7 months for newborn and 10 months for cake smash!
Cleanliness and sanitizing
Studio cleanliness and sanitizing is always a top priority but even more so during
these times. My studio is cleaned and sanitized before and after each session. All
upholstery is sprayed down and every surface that has been touched is wiped
down and sanitized. All props are sprayed down and all wraps that can be washed
are washed and all others are left outside to air out.
